Homestay exchanges in Spain

Middle-class families in Madrid and elsewhere in Spain, offer full board (free meals
and accommodation) with your own room in the family’s home. This offer mostly applies to English speakers from the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. (Although it might be open to non-Natives of English if they have a flawless accent).

Most people who take advantage of this are typically under 30 years old.

In exchange all you need to do is engage in conversational English for 2 hours every evening with the host family, Monday to Thursday.

Your deal is making sure the family engages in English for TWO hours per night Mon-Thurs.

In your free time you can take Spanish lessons, visit the city or travel during the weekends — this is totally up to you. If you can legally work in Europe you can also find a job.

Homestays are a minimum of 1 month, and typically last for up to 3 months (Length is flexible) or sometimes even more.

1. I need your Résumé/CV, age, 3 pictures and period of the year you would like to come.

2. Videocall interview with the program’s director

3. Proposing a family to you (their location, photos, time of the year and period)

4. Videocall with the family.

5. Payment via PayPal will happen ONLY once you have met the family via videocal
